Our 5 Favourite Things About W Bali

1. The Entrance Even before you’ve entered W, the drive down into the lobby is an experience on its own. Their now famous arched bamboo driveway is an amazing welcome into the luxury compound, like the perfect Balinese 'red carpet' that leads to you to your holiday...

2. The Pool W Retreat’s pool is simply breathtaking; when you stand high above it from the hotel lobby you can see how it cascades down towards the beach like many of Bali’s rice paddies. Sprinkled with palm trees and sun loungers, you can’t help but plant yourself poolside and order up a tasty cocktail.

3. Their Sunday Brunch The Sunday Brunch at FIRE, one of W’s restaurants, is exuberant and over the top, but we mean that in the best way possible. With their theme ‘Hawker House’, FIRE becomes a South East Asian marketplace alive with grills and stalls filled with delicate meats, fresh seafood and much, much more. (The cocktails are incredibly creative and fresh as well!).

4. An Indulgent Spa Seriously, AWAY Spa is something entirely different. With it’s uber modern look, it blows to-be-pampered guests away as soon as they walk in, and that, might we add, is at any time of the day because it’s one of the only spa’s that is open for 24 hours! Whilst they have plenty of treatment rooms, meditation platforms, vitality baths and of course hair and beauty facilities, what we really love is: (a) they have an oxygen bar! (b) CHILL Bar, because, the idea of a bar in a spa is simply brilliant.

5. Whatever, Whenever Perhaps the most incredible thing about this place is their WHATEVER/WHENEVER® service, which perhaps not everyone knows about. The idea behind this signature service is that W will grant you whatever you wish for - ask and they shall wave their magic wand! Want to see a Balinese healer? Want tickets to that event? Dinner under the stars? You got it. You know, just as long as it’s legal.

So those are our 5 favourite things about W Bali, but, we’re sure you’ll find your very own favourite things about it. We haven’t even mentioned WOOBAR or Starfish Bloo, or their villas and rooms... This iconic hotel has been on the island for five years now and through the month of March they’re holding a month long party, starting off with Five-on-Five,: 5 playgrounds, 5 special experiences all on the 5th March, to celebrate 5 years.
