Whilst Bali is a world-renowned holiday destination, often deemed as a paradise, there is little in the way of public healthcare, understanding or funds to help the severely disadvantaged. Sadly, this means many Balinese suffer unnecessarily. Fortunately there are others who dedicate their lives to help thousands of unfortunate individuals and families. These people are the island’s heroes, the champions who protect, feed, medicate, shelter, educate, and nurture the poor, the disabled, and the sick to improve their lives and escape the poverty.
Through this issue of NOW! Bali, we invite you to take a moment to learn more about the island NGO’s, businesses making a difference and communities banding together to make Bali a better place.
